Ariel Meltser is an industrial designer and maker based in New York City currently working at Smart Design.
At Smart Ariel has been able to apply her detail oriented and hands on approach to a wide range of products, collaborating with technologists, strategists, and engineers in the process. Throughout her academic and professional career she has always had a passion for finding uncommon connections and taking a practical, user-centered approach to making informed design decisions and create more circular product lifecycles. Outside of work Ariel is an avid ceramicist and has interests in painting, woodworking, and quilting.
During her time at Rochester Institute of Technology, Ariel held multiple leadership roles in clubs geared toward mentorship, uplifting women in STEM and bridging the gap between academia and industry.
